After discovering a confirmed case who had stayed at a general ward for less than 24 hours, the Baptist infection control team had immediately taken actions as advised by the Centre for Health Protection (CHP), Department of Health, HK. Despite having done all the necessary precautions and actions, the hospital and the infection control team would like to take an extra step to provide a safe working environment for patients and staffs. We are involved by providing disinfection using aerosolized hydrogen peroxide (by means of Automate machine) to areas like general ward, X-ray department and CT department. Environmental sampling at different sites was done for COVID-19 PCR and all were negative after successful disinfection.
